Thoreau's Journal: 30-Jun-1856

To Middleborough ponds in the new town of Lakeville (some three years old). What a miserable name! It should have been Assawampsett or, perchance, Sanacus, if that was the name of the Christian Indian killed on the pond.

Hi,

Not really a comment on-topic, but I was just refered to this blog by a friend. I'm sorry I have missed it, but then they say there are 13,000 new blogs a day!

I think the idea is wonderful! If I thought I was half witty enough, I might try an imaginary blog for Twain. Thanks for the work!
